EP Review: Blind Daze – Consequences (Teaser Tracks)

Blind Daze are a four piece rock band from Falkirk made up of Peter Gilbert on Guitar/Vocals, Alistair Bonnar On Guitar/Backing Vocals, Nathan Patterson on Bass and Craig Scott on Drums/Percussion. So today I’m going to be reviewing some teaser tracks from an upcoming EP called ‘Consequences’.

‘Falling From Grace’ kicks in fast with blaring guitar and bass backed up with some nice percussion, and the lead vocalist has some pretty decent chops. I found myself head bobbing along to this track from the get go and I would really like to hear it live.

‘Playing With Fire’ slows things down a touch, a more melodic guitar sequence instead of the heavier notes from the previous track, this one is good to unwind to, I listened to it a few times this week after work so trust me. That’s not to say it doesn’t kick things up a notch around the one minute mark but it opens cleanly and builds which I really like.

‘When Angels Fall’ has a intro that uses reverb really well, it sounds really organic and it has excellent pacing, of the three tracks here it’s probably my favourite because it takes what I like about both the previous tracks and does something new with it.

So that’s what I thought about these select tracks from Blind Daze’s upcoming EP ‘Consequence and if you want to keep up to date with what’s going on with the band then follow them on Facebook and Twitter.
