Nineteen Canteen are a melodic pop rock band from Glasgow made up of Dave Williamson on Guitar/vox, Mikey Dunn on Bass/vox, Toby Llewellyn on Guitar/vox and Garry Anderson Drums/vox. If you’d like to find out more about the band then check out this interview I did with them. Today, however I will be reviewing their single ‘Stranger Things Have Happened’.
‘Stranger Things Have Happened’ opened with an electronic/synth intro that I liked and think works really well with the singer’s voice and adds an ethereal quality to the track. It’s paced incredibly well building without rushing to a conclusion and there’s so much going on but it never sounds overloaded or confusing. I really enjoyed this track I liked the story that it told and whereas sometimes it can be hard to distinguish what a singer is saying the lead vocalist here managed to be clear and give the listener a very clear narrative. If I had one complaint it just felt a little brief but it was by no means unenjoyable.
So that’s what I thought of Nineteen Canteen’s single ‘Stranger Things Have Happened’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Soundcloud. While you’re at it, make sure and support the band by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
