‘Break Free’ Single from the Album ‘I AM AI’ Review

This track is very special and I’m really excited about getting a chance to talk about it. The reason why it’s unique is that it’s part of the first album composed and produced by an artificial intelligence. The A.I in question operates under the name ‘Amper’ and it’s responsible for a full album titled ‘I AM A.I’ from which the single ‘Break Free’ is featured on. Amper doesn’t work alone however, providing vocals, lyrics and also giving Amper its composing parameters is Taryn Southern a popular internet personality.

‘Break Free’ This is an incredible song, Taryn Southern has a truly spectacular voice that provides a haunting element to the music. Now onto the music itself, the A.I might not have any real understand of what sounds good, since machines to my knowledge still don’t understand things in an aesthetic manner but nonetheless just as a blind man might paint a beautiful picture the A.I put together an incredibly enjoyable track and together with Taryn Southern they’ve created something that’s beautiful and powerful, as well as something that breaks some boundaries. On its own I can’t say that it’s truly groundbreaking, it’s a good song and it works very well but it’s far more important as the first step in the direction of Artificial Intelligence testing its limits creatively and it’s certainly interesting. I for one will be looking forward to the full album.

So that’s what I think about ‘Break Free’ and if you want to have a listen then check it out on Youtube by clicking here. Keep an eye out for the album and in the meantime you can check out Taryn Southern on Facebook and Instagram and you can use Amper to create your own music by clicking here.
